Clove is beneficial to human health in following ways
Research shows that applying a mixture of some roots with clove and cinnamon to the skin of the penis improves premature (early) ejaculation.
Cloves are very rich in antioxidants. Cloves also contain a compound called eugenol, which is a natural antioxidant.
Protection against cancer
Cloves are helpful in fighting against cancerous cells. A study shows that cloves destroyed 80% of esophageal cancer cells. Eugenol found in cloves also acts as anti-cancer agent.
Improves liver health
A study showed that eugenol in cloves helped in reversing liver cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver, but the human case study is limited. Anti-oxidants in cloves also help in fighting of various liver diseases.
Regulates sugar level
Some of the compounds in cloves help in maintaining. sugar level in body. An animal study indicates that cloves can be used in controlling sugar.
Promotes bone health
Cloves are rich in manganese, a mineral which is involved in the formation of bones and is very important for bone health. So as a result cloves can help in promoting bone health but the studies are limited for now and human effects are still under research.
